What a brilliant day in Cambridge on Sunday, 29 March, for the iconic Cambridge Bikers Easter Egg Run!
Around 217 bikers made their way through the city, bringing plenty of Easter cheer to children supported by Addenbrookes and Red Hen, with fantastic support from Cambridge Police. The Red Hen Project was delighted to be there, cheering them on and soaking up the incredible community spirit.
A huge thanks as well to everyone who donated Easter eggs. They are being distributed to children over the school Easter holiday, including at our activities – look out for a post next week to show all the fun, including lively Easter egg hunts. We’re also very grateful to the team at La Pergola for their warm hospitality each year.
Thanks to Alex and Stella Luckett and Kayleigh Ackford from Cambridge Bikers Christmas Toy Run for organising it so beautifully, and to our volunteers who helped out on the day.
And finally, thank you to the amazing bikers who gave their time to take part and bring joy to local children, including Cambridgeshire Volunteer Bikers, St Neots Motorbike Group, Saffron Walden Community First Responders and many other groups.
📸 A big thank you to Dave from The Bike Insurer for capturing the day so perfectly. You can browse the photos via the link on our Facebook. With 50% of all photo sales being donated to The Red Hen Project, do take a look and pick up your favourites. Thank you, Dave! He has also very kindly let us use some of his photos in our reel.
